Room 18's, KCIslander Girls, had the honour of being visited by a former NZ Immigration Chief Operating Officer, Mr David Sim.
Focus : to equip students with life skills and prepare them for success in later life.
Room 18 students identified a variety of reasons why people choose to immigrate to NZ.

Purpose of visit : to discuss his experiences and knowledge of Immigration and assist students to understand the reasons why people immigrate to NZ. |

Mr Sim discussed questions relating to immigration that students had posed to him. |
 |
Students understood the thought processes people go through in reaching what can be a life-changing decision. They were made to understand that such decisions are not made lightly and that day to day decisions have long reaching impacts on their lives. |
